Time Management
About the Workshop
Peter Drucker stated: “The output limits on any process are set by the scarcest resource…time is the scarcest resource, and unless it can be managed, nothing else can be managed.”
Time is an extremely valuable resource that cannot be recycled. Many people claim that lack of time is a big problem. It is quite a shock for these people when they come to realize that it is not a problem, but that it is a symptom. It is a symptom of unclear objectives, of poor allocation of priorities, and poor planning.
Utilizing some basic time management principles can mean the difference between constantly managing crisis, and efficient work performance. Although mastering these principles do take time at the beginning, time a busy manger just doesn’t seem to have, within a very short time the benefits become apparent.
Effective management is learning how to put first things first. It is identifying your high leverage tasks that will allow you to achieve your goals and objectives.
